Width
One of the first aspects that you are going to have to take into consideration when it comes to buying skateboard decks is the width of the deck. If your balance is not so good and you are going to want to be performing tricks on the board, then you want to get a wider board so that you have more stability.
A lot of the top skaters have thinner boards because they are used to skating and have good balance. Especially if you are just getting started, sticking to a wider board is probably going to offer you the best results here.
Concave
You are also going to have to figure out whether you want to get a concave deck or not. The skateboard decks are usually offered with three different types of concave edges, and so you are going to have to decide on which is right for you. There are the mellow, medium and steep. This factor is really all about personal preference, and how you want to feel when you are on the board.
Again, even figuring out these sorts of things can be tricky if you have never bought a deck before because you are not sure what to look for since you are not used to riding on a skateboard.
Look
You want to love the look of your board, and this is the easiest issue to deal with when it comes to buying a deck, because there are no details that you have to be concerned with and instead you just want to make sure that you find a deck that you like the look of. There are endless styles and designs that you can choose from and so you can surely find one that you just love.

So basically for my Pop Art GCSE Art project, I’e decided to make my own Pop Art deck…what materials will I need?
A little more complex than you might assume,basic material is good quality ply,but that will give a flat board.It’s laminated using a vacuum press.Your art,not technology so I’d suggest you buy a blank from the manufacturer.A Lot simpler.
I’m sort of a beginner have a element right now but I want a better deck.

If i jump and flip my skateboard up side down andfall into the middle will it break?
it depends on what kind of skateboard u have if u have a cheap one like from wal mart or whatever its probably not going to break if u have a better board its not going to break like a flip , birdhouse, element, etc it also depends on how high ur landing on it like if u do a regular kickflip or heelflip its not gonna but if u are jumping stairs it might break thats happened to me with a couple of decks.
