I live near a lot of busy streets and the only place I can think of taking my longboard is along a asphalt paved trail, it’s not super smooth and has the asphalty small rocky type surface, but I don’t wnt to ruin my board. Is this ok? Or what other sugestions do you have?

The trail should be fine. You can also ride at skateparks, parking garages, ditches, not-so busy streets, parking lots, golf course cart paths, sidewalks. Not all of these maybe legal in your area, so play it cool.

MY ELEMENT DECK BROKE AND iM RUNNiNG LOW ON MONEY. i KNOW THAT THE CLOSEST SKATE SHOP NEAR ME SELLS BLANKS FOR ONLY 30. i WAS WONDERiNG SHOULD i BUY ONE. BECAUSE i WANT TO SKATE RiGHT NOW iNSTEAD OF WAiTiNG TO BUY ANOTHER PRO MODEL BOARD.
Blanks are fine when you’re low on cash. The extra money goes towards mainly the graphic on the board. A true skater will skate with what they have, whether it’s a low cost, low constructed blank, or a pricey board with a skaters name endorsed on it. If you want to skate, don’t let graphics or money get in your way. Just skate.
What you asked is like asking could you run if you weren’t wearing Nikes. Of course you can, you just won’t look as “cool”.

short answer, the one you use the most
if you want a good cheap skate look here:

get one with a decent concave and about 7.25 to 7.5 inches wide, i’ve bought one and it does pretty good for freestyle stuff.

Within their price range brackets, they’re pretty much all the same. For example, if you buy a $70 Etnies deck, it will be about the same quality as a $70 Birdhouse deck.
Go for one based on your size before anything.

Look, my parents promised me a new custom skateboard for my birthday (October 24)
I know how to ollie, pop-shuv-it, Im getting my kickflip down, and how to (nose) manual. I can also switcharoo.
My first skateboard was an Alien Workshop, and I loved it.
Please review my choices for the custom complete and comment:
deck- Toy Machine, Girl, Habitat, Alien Workshop, Zero, Baker, Almost, and Element.
trucks- I’d like some Thunder’s but I dont know if they make 125 mm. trucks. I can only find 145 mm. If not, maybe Ventures or Tensor.
wheels- Spitfire
bearings- Speed Metal ABEC 7
hardware- Lucky 7/8
griptape- MOB
Only answer if u had experience with these brands.
My style would like street/technical/park. I sometimes ride mini ramps.
deck: element
trucks: indy trucks
wheels: spitfire sounds great
Bearings: bones red
hardware: lucky 7/8 is good
griptape: MOB works

It’s like a $20 board, but i was wondering if I change the trucks and wheels, would it be better (cuz i like the design on the deck) or is the deck that changes how it rides greatly?
The ride itself comes mostly from the wheels. The deck is what gives the greatest ability to perform tricks.
It wouldn’t be worth changing just the trucks and wheels. You would still be stuck with a poor quality deck and bearings. It also might not be possible to change the components as many low-end setups from discount/toy stores use non-standard parts.
Your best bet is to save up a but more money and head down to a local skate shop. Get a blank or shop deck, trucks wheels and bearings. The setup will set you back around $100-120. You can hang the old setup on your wall as a reminder of when you first started to skate.

Looking for short boards and longboards. I am an amatuer at this.
trust me when I say you’re best off going to a skate shop. The companies that sell their own boards are almost always overpriced. If you don’t want to go to a skateshop, then there’s alot of really good websites that have everything for pretty cheap. some are ccs.com utilityboardsupply.com skateboard.com and activemailorder.com if you’re just starting out. ccs is probably more expensive, but they’re a good reference site for choosing what you get because they have such a huge selection and let you fit together what will work as a complete setup. their clearance section also has alot of good deals too.
Good Luck!
