Author: If you are just getting started in skateboarding, you are probably not going to want to go all out and get a top of the line skateboard deck, because you are going to have to start somewhere and you are probably going to be a little rough at first. You don’t want to spend a ton of money on a skateboard deck only to have it ruined after the first few days.
So if you are just a beginner to skating, your best bet is going to be to not get an Element skateboard deck or other top brand name, and instead stick with a cheap skateboard deck that you are not going to have to worry about ruining. Then as you make progress and become a better skater, you will be able to get rid of that cheap skateboard deck and trade it up for something better.

So if you want to find a cheap skateboard deck, there are a few companies that are great and that you are really going to want to check out. These are stores that are going to offer a selection of cheap skateboard deck and other parts so you never have to worry about spending a fortune just to get what you need.

Their goal is to constantly strive to be the best company that they can be and to offer skaters all around the world the best selection at the best price. You don’t have to pay a fortune just to get yourself a skateboard, but remember that you can get a nicer one after you get in a bit more practice.

It’s like a $20 board, but i was wondering if I change the trucks and wheels, would it be better (cuz i like the design on the deck) or is the deck that changes how it rides greatly?
The ride itself comes mostly from the wheels. The deck is what gives the greatest ability to perform tricks.
It wouldn’t be worth changing just the trucks and wheels. You would still be stuck with a poor quality deck and bearings. It also might not be possible to change the components as many low-end setups from discount/toy stores use non-standard parts.
Your best bet is to save up a but more money and head down to a local skate shop. Get a blank or shop deck, trucks wheels and bearings. The setup will set you back around $100-120. You can hang the old setup on your wall as a reminder of when you first started to skate.
