Getting yourself a custom skateboard deck just may be the best thing that you ever do. Whether you are
interested specifically in a flip skateboard deck or any other type, when you get the deck customized you know that you are getting everything just the way that you want it. You will probably only want to do this if you already have a bit of experience in skating however, because otherwise you are not going to be able to make the most of it.
You really have to be able to understand what goes into a board and what sort of details you need to take care of to really make the most of your custom skateboard deck.
BoardPusher
If you know that you want to go and get a custom skateboard deck, you are going to want to head to a place like BoardPusher. They make the process of customizing your skateboard so easy that you are not going to believe it, and you can also shop pre-made skateboard decks if you would rather or if you want to get some design ideas.
If you want a hot custom skateboard deck then this is definitely one of the best places that you can go to, and you can even make your own decks and then sell them.
Zazzle

You can get everything done right online and have your new deck mailed to you which is really great and convenient and will allow you to take your time and put more thought into your creation here.

These are only two of the best companies offering customized skateboard decks, and there are others as well that you can go through.
i am looking to buy a skateboard. I want to custom make it. And i don’t want some kiddy skateboard that you buy in the box so don’t give me a place where u can buy those. I want a place where you can pick out the deck, trucks, wheels, bearings, etc. separately.
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, can someone please explain to me the difference of this.
I see a deck width of 7.6, but then i see a deck width of 7.60. And I’m sure 7.60 would be way bigger then a 7.6. Is 7.6 and 7.60 the same? And also, i see 7.7, but then 7.75. 7.75 would be larger then 7.7 right?
Also, what is "resin"? I see people say "What is the resin?"
The ply is how much layers there are? Like a 7 ply wood deck would be 7 layers of wood right?
And last on CCS. When i go to choose my custom deck and all. I don’t understand by what it means when it says "The base price for a complete skateboard using the ALMOST MULLEN POSTER EYES DECK is $119.99. You chose upgrade item(s) that add up to $8.00, so your complete skateboard cost $127.99."
So does that mean, if i didn’t add my own trucks to it and stuff. Would that deck come to me with trucks and wheels and all? Or would it just be the Deck? Please help!
If you take the time to explain this all to me, thank you so much. I’m just asking please help, I’m getting into skateboarding and love it from what i see. Now, i just want to understand.
umm…. how old are you? have you even learned about decimals in school? 7.6 is equal to 7.60 <<<<<<DUH! and 7.75 is bigger than 7.7 because the .75 part is like 7/10 and 1/2 of 1 tenth.
idk about any of the other stuff though lol
sorry for being so harsh
ive had my skateboard for a year now and its pretty worn out. and a couple of days ago i found out that it had risers in between the trucks and deck. i heard someone say they make it harder to do tricks. and at first i do remember it being rather hard to do them. also its me birthday soon and im hopefully getting a new skateboard which is custom and my parents have agreed to that and i was just wondering whether or not i should have risers.
Risers may or may not mess you up when you’re doing tricks. If you have been riding with high trucks and decide to buy low trucks plus risers then you shouldn’t notice anything. As for what they do, they do prevent wheelbite ( which is when the wheels rub on the board and scrape off the design. It’s not anything bad unless you’re a poser and want your board to look brand new. Also, it prevents pressure cracks when you do tricks off of high places. For me, pressure cracks aren’t an issue because it just means that I’m closer to getting a new deck.
I am Darryl an owner of DD Skateboarding, this is a graphic I made the other week it is on the top of the deck, clear griptape will be added later. I made this graphic with colored pencil.

Hi, I’m building a custom skateboard, and I found this really awesome deck ,but there’s a problem because it’s only 7.37", and the trucks I picked out’s axel is 7.5". I heard from somewhere this is okay if the truck’s axel is within 1/4" of the deck, but I’m not sure if they meant if it’s smaller. And I heard the sizing for the height is 7.5"-4.75 and 7.75"-5.0, so would the height of 5 work for my deck?
I’m OK if I get this one element deck that’s 7.62", but would that work as well? I’m guessing 7.5" would work best, correct?
Also, how do you pick out hardware size compared to your deck? There’s 1 1/8", 1 1/4", 1", 7/8", etc. The one I see most is 1", but I’m not sure.
And around how long do bearings last for usually?
Thanks so much!
it will be fine. I skate 7.5 and my trucks are usually 7.75. but i would not suggest getting a element because they just suck and believe me i have owned like 30 decks in my life.
And bearings last depending on what you skate. i skate stairs and such so mine only last for about 3 weeks. but they last for usually a long time
It turns out I can only spend up to $120 on a skateboard. I want it with a custom deck, but no specialized tape. The custom deck would cost $60, and I want at least good materials for all the other parts (trucks, wheels, bearings, all that stuff). Is $120 enough to afford for it all? And if so, should I just go to my skate shop to get the other parts?
I’ve built many boards under $120. You may need to skip on some name brand stuff, like wheels. I usally just use blanks anyways they all work the same. I have a mini logo superlight deck with venture trucks, bones swiss bearings, mob grip, and blank 53mm wheels complete it was $98, you jsut need to know where to look for parts and shop around instead of buying it all from one place, skateboards are easy to assemble, and any place you buy a deck from and the grip will put it on for free for you, everything else is just a cake walk to put together.
$60 deck
$5 grip
$25 trucks
$15 bearings, bones reds, pig checkers, rush abec 8’s are all good ones to get and cheap.
$20 wheels
you may need to ask for an extra $10 for shipping costs and whatever else but it can be done if you order online, or skimp on the $60 deck and find something a little cheaper, if it’s your first board you don’t really need a super great deck you’re going to trash it anyways from learning.
