I’ve never heard of anyone being afraid of flip tricks. The chance of falling while doing one on flat is so low, and if you do fall it won’t hurt too bad. Just stick the trick like a man, and ride away.

Thrasher’s Skatepark Roundup is good-times ‘boarding at it’s best. Each month we’re linking up with one of the best teams in the biz for an afternoon of Phelper, fun and no-rules ripping. Forget the leaderboard and smoke machine, Skatepark Roundup is burgers, bros, killer ‘crete and an up-close and personal look at skateboarding’s finest.

how long does it usually take and how do i do it?
bonus question how long does it take to prefect a ollie while moving?

Here’s a tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su54L45Obqw

if you watch right to the end, he does it in slowmo so you can see it happening.

ive been skatin for a while now and im workin on my tricks.
if anyone knows how to kickflip please tell me lol

the trick is to put about half your foot on the middle of the board so you can ollie higher. if that doesent work than try jumping as high as you can when you do it. and also when you do the flicking part with your toe do it at the nose of your board. if that doesent work, then your f***in scr3wed.

hmmmm no prob XD

Place the front foot safely behind the front bolts or onto and slightly towards the heel-side edge of the board.
Place the ball of the back foot on the tail of the board slightly angled.
Pop the tail by pushing down with the back foot while jumping into the air.
Slide your front foot out diagonally in order to start the board rotating while you stay with your shoulders centered over the board. Put your front foot over the top bolts and kick.
Lift both feet out of the way so that the board can spin properly.
Catch the board and roll away. It is considered good style to stop the board’s rotation with the feet in midair rather than to allow contact with the ground to stop the board.

i have been trying this for a while now. everytime i bail out of them i get the flip but when i go for it the board either does a three shuv or it does an under rotation tre flip. i really want to learn this trick but nothing is working for me. please help me.

Well as you probably know you need to know how to land a kick flip and a 360 pop shove it. What helped me land it was trying different foot positions of my front foot. Some flipped the board too much others not enough flip. My back foot was off the edge off the tail. This gave me enough spin to do a 360. And the last part is to practice it took me 2 to 3 months to land one tre and i still have some trouble with it.

short answer, the one you use the most ;)

if you want a good cheap skate look here:

http://www.blankdecks.com/decks_index.htm

get one with a decent concave and about 7.25 to 7.5 inches wide, i’ve bought one and it does pretty good for freestyle stuff.
